The Walking Dead

Well, hello there!

I haven’t been working on much that can be shared publicly as of late, but here is something I can finally show you all!

I got to do a special cover illustration for the 100th issue of The Walking Dead for the fine folks at The Hero Initiative. Check it out:

Monsters and Dames 2013

Hey! Long time, no see. I am happy to announce that my work will be featured in the 2013 edition of Monsters and Dames! The Monsters and Dames book is a fundraising book created each year by the folks at Emerald City Comic Con, and the proceeds go to children’s hospitals.

It’s my pleasure to once again create a piece for this fantastic book!

THOR!

I was asked to do a piece for this year’s CBLDF art auction at San Diego Comic Con! I’m super excited that I can finally show off the piece. I had a ton of fun working on this, and I hope it can raise some sweet money.

EDIT: I’ve been told that in order to preserve a good relationship with Marvel, I’m not allowed to actually post the image of my art here. So instead, please click this link and check it out here!

Lost In Space

I did a piece for the IndieCade Holiday Party Art Show! It’s going to be auctioned off to support IndieCade.

Drawing on this card was a challenge, because the surface was slick and shiny. So all the cool effects-like stuff going on with this piece is just how my india ink naturally reacted to the paper. I also forced myself to use a lot of black. Of course… I blacked out some stuff on the figures before I realized I wanted to black in the background, so a few things got lost. Oh well!

Friendly Neighborhood Spider ‘Stache!

So, I drew this.

As some of you may be aware, Movember is upon us! I cannot grow a mustache, sadly, so instead, I am doing mustache art! This is my first of what I hope will be several pieces. It’s ink and watercolor on 500 Series Bristol!

It can be yours for all time with a $50 donation to Movember! Just follow this link to make your donation, and include the note “FARRIS SPIDER-MAN”!

All your dollars go to eradicate cancer, so you couldn’t feel better about getting this piece!

More info here, at Joe Keating’s site!
